Pop Art is considered one of the most important art movements of the 20th century. It emerged in London in 1952 by a group of young avant-garde artists, writers, and architects. To challenge the art world while making their art available to the masses, pop artists created pieces of art using simple images, such as comic strips, hot dogs and hamburgers, soda-pop bottles, billboards and newspapers.
