GAUCHO SILVER-MILITARIA-HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS
Zorrilla Subastas presents Plateria Criolla, Militaria y Documentos Históricos, in which an outstanding collection of gaucho silverware, military artefacts and historic documents will be sold at auction. Standout pieces available for purchase include a French wall rifle (lot 171) which was used in Uruguay during the siege of Montevideo in the 1840s and a collection of photographs and historical documents linked to the history of Uruguay which includes the autographed manuscript with the proclamation of José Batlle y Ordóñez after the Peace of Aceguá in 1904 (lot 593).
