Jack Carr, the ultimate railfan, collected railroad memorabilia, and model trains his entire life. This auction is his lifetime personal and coveted collection. Jack even built a specialized pole-barn on his property to display and use, these elaborate trains and to properly store his prized possessions. Duluth, Minnesota, located on the tip of Lake Superior, is a central location in the history of the United States Railway. Jack Carr, and his father, collected anything railroadiana. Notice this rare historic collection from the Duluth, Superior, Missabe, & Iron Range Railway. The model trains in this collection are the best of the best in Jack's collection - most of which are BRASS! The items are in excellent to NEW condition. Nordic Auction has already conducted four auctions to sell Carr's Hobby inventory, a landmark Hobby Shop which was located in Duluth, Minnesota, until 2020. THIS AUCTION IS JACK CARR'S PERSONAL COLLECTION. Due to his unexpected passing in May 2020 at the young age of 79, Jack Carr is unable to disclose the details on each item. Nordic Auction is unable to determine whether the items work or not even if they are brand new. Therefore, there is no warranty expressed or implied on any of the items.
