At the next Science, Technology & Clocks Sale, featuring Militaria, Skinner will auction William Bond’s Astronomical Regulator No. 396. It is one of only three known in the world and was used as the source of Standard Time in New England in about 1868. Other timekeepers include a walnut tall clock by William Claggett of Newport, Rhode Island c. 1725, clocks by Simon and Aaron Willard, a mirror clock by Joshua Wilder, rare Connecticut manufactured clocks and pocket watches. Militaria will feature the Revolutionary War collection of C.
