GREAT BINDINGS, SETS AND A SCI-FI COLLECTION.

CBA INAUGURAL AUCTION OF NEARLY 400 LOTS. INCLUDING: FINE BINDINGS. A selection of bindings by John F. Grabau and other Thomas Wise forgeries finely bound. From the library of Charles Cobb Walker, Boston, (1871-1950) A large collection of SCI-FI and fantasy books rescued from being forgotten in an old warehouse. Including: Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, Edgar Rice Burroughs, etc. A library selection from the estate of C. Adrienne Taylor, former librarian at Wycliffe, UofT. Including Folio Society and First Editions by Canadian authors, etc. A selection of prints and engravings, and photographic albums. SPECIAL NOTE ON CONDITION AND PROVENANCE. Books from the library of Charles Cobb Walker were owned in a New England institution and have no outer markings, though a blind stamp appears on the title page and one other page in each volume marked CCW at the end of the descriptions. Each book contains at least one engraved bookplate. The science fiction and a number of the books in dust jackets were rescued from being abandoned in a warehouse for about 50 years, as such they are dusty and can have foxing, staining or mold spotting. Books from the estate of C. Adrienne Taylor can contain a bookplate inside the front cover and/or her signature. In-house packing and shipping arranged by USPS or Canada Post.
