2-Day Major Estate Auction

This comprehensive Auction sale will include furniture represented by virtually every major style and country, including the Louis XV, XVI, Regence’, Provincial and Empire and Renaissance styles of France; the Sheraton, Louis Philippe, Regency, Georgian and Jacobean styles of England; a variety of 19th century American furniture is also featured, as well as a 19th/20th century Dutch marquetry style inlaid bombe’ long case clock, signed N. James, Bridport (sic), long case clock, a superb 19th century English carved oak cellaret, and several chinoiserie decorated pieces.

Showcased will be an excellent array of 18th, 19th and 20th century paintings, watercolors, drawings, lithographs and other fine art, including works by Karel Appel, Peter Matosian, Yavar Sultanov (four works by this artist are to be offered), Francisco Zuniga, Louis Charles Moeller, Rufino Tamayo and many others; as well as a selection of marble and bronze sculpture, including examples by S, T. Faivari, Loet Vanderveen (two works by this sculptor will be included), Vincenzo Vela, and a circa 1900 bronze sculpture of Napoleon after Amrogio Colombo and others.

Also included will be selections of Baccarat crystal, including several large and finely modeled sculptures, as well as an excellent group of porcelains, including examples of KPM, Meissen – three scarce 18th century examples modeled by J.J. Kaendler and Christian Ehder will be included - also Sevres, Royal Dux, Limoges, a large continental decorated Majolica vase on a carved ebonized stand, a large, well-decorated Zsolnay Pecs charger and a pair of well-decorated Meiji period Satsuma covered ginger jars on carved rosewood stands.

Additionally featured are a superb groups of china, crystal, sterling silver and silverplate, mirrors, chandeliers – including a Louis Philippe style heavily cast bronze and crystal 12-light example, sconces, candelabra – including a finely detailed first empire bronze dore’ figural three-light pair, lamps, carriage and mantel clocks and an extensive collection of estate and designer jewelry. Finally, a wonderful selection of estate and new Oriental rugs and tapestries will also be included.
