Floral Art/Objects & Design

A+O offeres in this sale The J. Barry Ferguson Collection of Floral and Botanical Art. J. Barry Ferguson ran a successful floral business in New York for twenty five years and is a well-known lecturer and author. This collection spans the early years of botanic art in the form of hand coloured engravings from artists such as Redoute, Mark Catesby, Ehret and Volckamer to modern artists such as Wendy Walsh, Valentine Lawford, Kevin Nicolay, Elizabeth Cameron and Rory McEwen. Of particular interest are two rare watercolours by New Zealand's Audrey Eagle. The Objects and Decorative Arts catalogue features a near definitive selection of new Zealand glass art from a single collection.
