The following Terms and Conditions constitute the entire contract with the Buyer.
The person recognized as the highest bidder on a lot shall hereinafter be referred to as the Buyer. LA PARISIENNE DES ARTS is called the Seller.
By bidding on an item, you represent that you hereby accept the Terms and Conditions of this Auction.
1. The description of the lots offered for sale must be considered as purely indicative. Great care was taken in the description of each work, but an error or omission cannot be the responsibility of LA PARISIENNE DES ARTS.
2. It is the sole responsibility of the Buyer to carefully inspect and determine condition, age, value, and any other determinative factor. Online bidders understand and acknowledge that they are limited to the images and descriptions given for their inspection, and any requests for additional information must be submitted at least 48 hours before auction begins.
3. LA PARISIENNE DES ARTS reserves the right to change, alter, or remove a listing at any time before the start of an auction regardless of if bids have been placed on the item.
4. Sales are final. The Buyer will not be able to withdraw, claim a refund or return the work. It is his responsibility to inquire before the auction about the issues that he deems necessary for his evaluation. LA PARISIENNE DES ARTS has indicated in each description the information essential for the good evaluation of the work so that the bidder can decide to bid with an informed opinion.
5. If a dispute arises after the auction concerning the winner, LA PARISIENNE DES ARTS reserves the right to choose the winning bidder. LA PARISIENNE DES ARTS reserves the right to refuse any sale due to unforeseen circumstances such as damage caused to an article, withdrawal of a lot or any other reason of this kind. In case of refusal of sale for which payment has already been received, the full refund will be made.
6. In the event of a dispute concerning the authenticity of a work, the Buyer must obtain at his own expense an opinion (or two, at the discretion of LA PARISIENNE DES ARTS) from experts recognized in the field, mutually acceptable to LA PARISIENNE DES ARTS and the buyer. In the event of a dispute, the courts of Paris shall have sole jurisdiction.
7. LA PARISIENNE DES ARTS ensures that the works are perfectly packaged for shipping but cannot be held responsible in the event of shipping delay, shipping error or a work lost or damaged by the carrier.
The shipping is done at the expense of the Buyer and is his responsibility, as well as any customs or insurance procedures and fees.
8. For reasons of confidentiality, LA PARISIENNE DES ARTS reserves the right to keep confidential the personal information of our Sellers/Buyers and their addresses.
