An Important Private Belgian Collection

We are thrilled to announce our next sale of a private Belgian collection on October 21st, 2023. Built over more than 30 years, it expresses the collector's curiosity for all things of beauty, whether it be tribal art, fine art, photography, or design,... and then some more. Amongst the highlights, we proudly mention a fabulous Grebo Mask from the Armand Trampitsch collection, and a powerful Suku sculpture that used to belong to Robert Jacobsen and was exhibited at the landmark show "Arts primitifs dans les ateliers d'artistes" in Paris in 1967. An extraordinary group of vintage photographs includes works by a.o. Man Ray, Constantin Brancusi, Diane Arbus, Frantisek Drtikol and Robert Mapplethorpe. We also find remarkable design pieces by Phillip Lloyd Powell, Paul Evans, Ado Chale, and modern art by Georges Van Tongerloo, Henri Moore, and Peter Halley, to name but a few.
