1. All the lots in the Auction will be on display to view at our office only by appointment. 2. Auction bidding is conducted in British Pounds. The highest bidder is acknowledged by the auctioneer. The successful bidder has committed himself personally to the purchases made, he cannot claim to have acted on behalf of a third party. 3. First time Bidders with the Auction House must register at least 48 hours before an auction to give enough time to process and approve the registration. The following documents may be need to register: for individuals: Photo identification (driving licence, national identity card or passport) and, if not shown on the ID document, proof of your current address (for example, a current utility bill or bank statement). for corporate clients: Your Certificate of Incorporation or equivalent document(s) showing your name and registered address together with documentary proof of directors and beneficial owners; and for trusts, partnerships, offshore companies and other business structures, please contact us in advance to discuss our requirements. 4. Absentee bidders can bid up to 2 hours before the auction by writing, telephone or electronically. The Auction House may require a bank reference and/or guarantee. A commission of 22% will be levied on the hammer price. Payment is in British Pounds and is immediately due upon adjudication of the lot . 20% VAT will be added to the UK bill only. No VAT to all other countries. Live Antiques accepts payment by bank transfer (all bank charges are to be borne by the client), PayPal (Europe) (PayPal charges 4.9% for transfers within the EU and 4.9% for payments from third countries). The respective method of payment is chosen by the client during the check-out process. Live Antiques reserves the right to refuse PayPal payments in individual cases for objective reasons. PayPal payments are subject to PayPal's terms of use. 7. Shipping and insurance are at the buyer's cost and risk. Any fees and charges payable abroad are borne by the buyer (successful bidder) who is responsible for acquiring the necessary information about any applicable customs and foreign exchange regulations. The Auction House accepts no liability for any contraventions of such regulations. It is the Bidder's sole responsibility to identify and obtain any necessary licences for a Lot, including but not limited to export, import, or endangered species. The denial of any licence or permit shall not entitle the Buyer to cancel the sale contract or delay payment of the Lot. Auction House will ship paid lots up to 5 working days after payment of all monies owed by the Buyer is received. Risk for the Lot passes to the Buyer at the time the Lot is sold to the Buyer. The Auction House is not responsible for loss or damage to any Lot at any time. Auction House do not take responsibility for delayed or lost shipment. Auction House do not insure Lots in transit but can arrange insurance at Buyer's written request. Delivery will be exercised as agreed with the Buyer, and unless otherwise specified by us during the working days and hours only following the sale. 8. The Auction House offers an unconditional and unlimited guarantee for the authenticity of objects and coins. All identifications and descriptions of the items sold in this catalogue are statements of opinion and were made in good faith. For coins that have been authenticated, graded and encapsulated (?slabbed?) by an independent grading company, no guarantee of any kind is offered by us. Buyers should note that removal or attempted removal from any slab will immediately void any independent guarantee that might have been offered by that grading company. 9. We may describe the Lots using the following descriptions: Restored: the Lot may have been repaired or otherwise reinstated and some parts may have been replaced; Fair Condition: the Lot may be fragmentary or have some obvious damaged; Fine Condition: the Lot is likely to be generally complete but may have minor damage or evidence of restoration or repair; Very Fine Condition: the Lot is usually complete and in good condition, but may have some minor damage, restoration or repairs. The nature of the Lots sold at auction by the Auction House is such that they are likely- due to their age, to show signs of wear and tear, damage, or other imperfections, restoration or repair. Any reference to condition by the Auction House will not amount to a full description of condition. Photographs included in the Auction House ? sale catalogues are not representative of the condition of any Lot. All dimensions of Lots are approximate and are for general guidance only. A single dimension given is normally the greatest dimension for the Lot. 10. The objects which come under the hammer are auctioned on behalf of a third party or are the property of the Auction House. The buyer (successful bidder) has no entitlement to have the identity of the consignor disclosed to them and acknowledges that the Auction House might receive a commission from the consignor for the sale. 11. The above conditions are a component of each individual contract of sale concluded at the auction. Alterations must be made in writing in order to be valid. If any parts of these terms and conditions should be no longer or not fully in conformity with the valid legal situation, this shall not affect the content and validity of the remaining parts. 12.
