The Jim Irsay Collection: Icons of History
On 1 July, in honour of the nation’s 250th anniversary of independence, Christie’s will present The Americana Collection of the Late Jim Irsay in a landmark live auction. Led by a copy of the monumental 1823 Stone engraving of the Declaration of Independence, the collection brings together important letters, documents and artefacts spanning the birth of the nation through to the dawn of the 21st century.
From John Hancock and George Washington to Franklin Roosevelt and John Kennedy, the sale continues Christie’s celebration of American history in this significant anniversary year.
