WORK BY NEVELSON, PAINE, WESSELMANN, DE KOONING, SCHARF, COPPEDGE AND FOLINSBEE SHOWCASED IN RAGO?S MAY 17 FINE ART AUCTIONS. On Saturday, May 17, 2014, Rago will hold sales of 19th/20th Century American and European Art and Post-War/Contemporary Art, featuring rare finds and works of art that have been privately held for decades. Artists from Roxy Paine to Louise Nevelson are represented by exemplary work. The original art from Willem de Kooning and Kenny Scharf come from knowledgeable consignors who collected in depth. The New Hope School is also well served by major paintings from Fern Isabel Coppedge, Walter Elmer Schofield and John Folinsbee. The whereabouts of the Folinsbee has been unknown since the 1920s.
