Fine Art Photography
We are privileged in this auction to present the works of four accomplished, unique photographers who have risen to the challenge of interpreting and defining life?s large and small ideas, objects and events through the magic of their lenses, and have done so impressively: Daphne Maxwell Reid, Mia Mourouzis, Andy Katz and Ansel Adams. Daphne Maxwell Reid is known for her role as Aunt Vivian Banks on ?The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air? between 1993 and 1996. She now runs New Millennium Studios, a full-service movie studio and creates photographic works from her travels around the world. Born in Germany and raised in sunny Southern California, Mia Mourouzis is a photographer and creative artist currently specializing in textural studies of both organic and inorganic palettes. Mia's eye tells a beautiful story while maintaining a unique perspective on the environment around us. Her photography for celebrity clientele has been seen in Rolling Stone, Billboard, Maxim and Vanity Fair. Andy Katz?s photographic work has taken him around the globe. From the deserts of Namibia to the disappearing Jewish World of Eastern Europe to the rolling hills of the California wine country, his subjects range as broadly as his travels and adventures. His evocative work is featured in museums and galleries worldwide. Andy?s mastery of his medium, his artistry, and his dedication to his vision surely place him among America?s finest photographers. American photographer Ansel Adams is revered for his black-and-white landscape photographs of the American West, especially Yosemite National Park, which have been widely reproduced on calendars, posters, and books. He was a great environmentalist too. Adams was a guiding light in developing the field of photography with his teachings and practices of resolution, clarity and the importance of sharpness in images. This is a rare opportunity to own very special works of photography by true artists working at the height of their creativity.
