August 20th Toy Train Auction

This Live 400 lot auction with be the opening event for the massive modern standard gauge collection of James Hall from Virginia. His collection was featured in the TM layout video series and was on the PBS TV show Extreme Collectors. This event will have a small sampling of about 150 lots including: great McCoy items with several rare & unique pieces, with Prototypes and paint samples from the archive, as well as great regular production items from the beginning of McCoy's production in 1965. There will be several different E2 4-4-4-4 boxcab electrics with the scarce NH version; steam locos, trolleys, handcars, TTOS & TCA pieces and more! In addition, will be examples from Pride Lines, in O & Standard gauges with handcars and trolleys; Templin, Rich-Art, Daniels(JAD) & Pearce, and accessories by T-Repro MTH, Lionel, Smith Metalworks and others. Approx. 80 Lionel postwar lots with a mix of motive power, rolling stock & accessories, with many GP7s, even 2 nice boxed HO slot car sets! Modern O Gauge include examples from Lionel MPC to current production, MTH Premier & RailKing, Williams, Weaver, K-Line with 75 lots including the old Lionel & K-Line stock from a hobby store that recently closed, plus a heavy Canadian Collection with nice MTH Premier Pieces and plenty of layout accessories and track.
