Cooper Owen’s 28th July MUSIC LEGENDS auction will take place at the historic ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS, London and includes a wide ranging selection of lots of our usual high standard. Highlights include:
-THE DOORS Jim Morrison’s last known handwritten notebook, containing finished and unfinished poems, lyrics and musings, Paris 1971
-The first guitar PAUL McCARTNEY was taught to play on by his childhood friend, accompanied by a letter from Sir Paul himself
-A rare and important collection of lots relating to THE WHO including two T-shirts worn by KEITH MOON, the oxygen tank kept beside his drumkit and a guitar body smashed on stage by PETE TOWNSHEND -A fantastic archive of Beatles related contracts, flyers and ephemera from the personal collection of SIR GEORGE MARTIN to be sold in aid of The Sir George Martin Music Foundation.
