Have not been a fan of online auctions in the past only because I was skeptical of whether items were as advertised. Hilliards is located close enough I can preview and pickup. But for the African antiquities auction, there was no need to preview. Everything was a quality piece and the photos showed that. Have traveled throughout Western and Central Africa over 30 years ago and collected some African art after developing an eye for genuine, non-tourist pieces. This collection had those pieces. I only wish I knew about the last 6 African Art auctions that Hilliards had but so happy I found out about this last one. Delightful stuff, responsive brothers, easy to collect sales from the brothers after sales. Will be back for more collectables!
