Our firearms division experts will be on-hand to answer any questions you have on any of the lots. Cocktails and refreshments will be served. Estimated at $80,000 - $100,000, one of the featured pieces in this sale is a Rare Singer Mfg Model 1911 Semi-Auto Pistol. One of the great rarities in the Colt collecting field. Singer (Sewing Machine) Mfg Co. was granted an order to produce pistols on April 17th 1940. They manufactured a total of 500 1911 A1 pistols that were shipped to the U.S. Army Air Force after December 5th, 1941. Serial number range is S800001 to S800500. This pistol is serial numbered S800170, so it is the 170th pistol manufactured out of 500. All Singer Model 1911 A1?s were of the highest quality, polished to a satin sheen, and finished a Du-Lite black oxide process. The stocks are made of plastic by the Singer Co. and feature the lightened recess on the inside panel with no screw hole rings. The gun remains in amazing all original condition. As to the blued finish, the gun retains fully 99% of the factory original finish, there is a one slight rub on left of the trigger guard, and the lightest hint of high edge wear at the hint of frame. The grip straps retain virtually all of the blue and there is a hardly a speck of high edge wear at the end of the muzzle. If it were not for a little light corrosion on the grip frame under the grips (only the edge of which are visible with grips in place from having been exposed to moisture), with a patch on the arched mainspring, the gun is nearly new. There is an ever so slight drag line. It has been completely disassembled, and each part ex
