A SOLID OAK PIPE CABINET, 1925
A British Solid Wood Pipe Cabinet, Dated 1925. A classic gentleman's pipe cabinet, constructed in solid wood with original bevelled glass, working lock and original key. The top opens by means of a linked mechanism, secured when the front door is locked. The fitted interior contains eight pipe compartments with additional storage for tobacco tins, cases and accessories. The presentation plaque records it as a commemorative gift dated December 1925. Size of top 31 × 18.5 cm; height 39 cm. Condition consistent with age and use.
