Description
A group of two decorative tomahawks in the Native American style. The first item features a knapped stone head lashed with leather to a natural branch handle and includes a small fur accent. The second piece is a pipe-tomahawk variety with a forged metal blade and bowl. The handle of the metal example is wrapped in brown suede leather with decorative fringe and a fur sleeve. This piece is further embellished with a pendant consisting of feathers and glass beads in red and black, as well as a circular beaded medallion with a four-color cross motif on a dark ground. Both items utilize contemporary materials such as uniform glass beads and suede, indicating they are modern craft pieces intended for decorative or ceremonial use. No maker marks or inscriptions are present on either item.
