An spherical solid cast-iron projectile, consistent in form with 18th or 19th-century solid shot. The object is constructed of heavy cast iron with a dark brown, oxidized surface. The exterior displays a dense texture of pitting and mineral deposits, characteristic of iron that has been excavated or subjected to long-term environmental exposure. A faint casting seam is visible around the circumference, indicating the manufacturing process. There are no maker marks, foundry stamps, or insignias visible on the surface of the metal.
