This lot features a vintage 1989 Topps #100 Don Mattingly trading card highlighting the legendary New York Yankees first baseman and fan favorite. The front layout displays a candid photograph of a focused Mattingly standing in the dugout while inspecting his baseball bat, clad in a dark Yankees batting practice pullover and a team cap featuring the classic interlocking "NY" logo. True to the standard 1989 Topps set design, the central image is framed by a thin red and blue inner border, anchored at the bottom by a flowing blue cursive banner that highlights the team name "Yankees" and a script ribbon displaying his name, "DON MATTINGLY".
