A poetic and sculptural hot air balloon, handcrafted in papier-mache with hand-painted detailing and rope rigging, evoking the romance of early aeronautical forms and the charm of the Paris flea markets.

Rendered in a softly aged red, ivory, and blue palette, the surface reveals subtle texture and painterly variation throughout-hallmarks of handwork that lend the piece its quiet depth and authenticity. The suspended basket and braided rope elements introduce movement and delicacy, while the rounded balloon form brings a sense of lightness and whimsy.

Equally at home in a layered, collected interior, this piece channels the spirit of French decorative arts, atelier-made objects, and the curated sensibility associated with John Derian, Fornasetti, MacKenzie-Childs, and Astier de Villatte-where imperfection, texture, and narrative take precedence over polish.

Designed to be suspended from a discreet hook at the crown, it floats effortlessly within a space-ideal above a console, in a corner vignette, or as an unexpected focal point in a nursery or salon-style interior.
