An elegant and exceptionally well-preserved, unused pair of Italian brass two-light wall sconces. Distinguished by their architectural proportions and refined detailing, the sconces blend Italian Modern design with Neoclassical and traditional European influences. Remarkably, the pair appears to have never been installed or used and retains the original fitted shades.

Each sconce is constructed around a substantial stepped circular brass backplate with a strong geometric central block. Gracefully formed candle cups rise above spherical brass elements, while turned details, a lower ball finial, and the distinctive ring-form upper finial create an elegant, sculptural silhouette.

Particularly desirable are the original ivory fabric shades, made specifically for the fixtures. Their gently curved rectangular form conceals the two light sources while providing a warm, softly diffused illumination. Narrow brass trim along the upper and lower edges beautifully integrates the shades with the metalwork and gives the sconces their sophisticated, tailored appearance.
