Breitling Chronomat reference 81950, gents 39mm stainless steel and gold plated automatic chronograph wristwatch with white dial and date, on a bi-colour Breitling Rouleaux bracelet, sold as watch only, working at the time of catalogue

The Chronomat was developed in the early 1980s with the Frecce Tricolori, the Italian Air Force aerobatic team, and launched for Breitling's centenary in 1984. Its signature rider tabs on the rotating bezel make it easy to grip with gloves. This early reference has Breitling calibre 13, an automatic chronograph movement with around 42 hours of power reserve, and comes on the period-correct Rouleaux bracelet, recognisable by its rounded bullet links.
