Title: Stalactite Formed Amber From Madagascar With Insect Inclusions
Description: A very interesting elongated piece of amber from Madagascar with many different species of insect inclusions (probably about a dozen).
The specimen is formed in the shape of a stalactite and it originates from the North part of the island from a horizon of Pleistocene age, approximately 2.5 million to 11,700 years ago.
Hence this is a "copal" amber, a much younger than other older amber deposits from across the world. Dimensions: 69.4 x 14.0 x 8 8  mm.
With excellent reaction to UV light and electrostatic properties when rubbed on a wool cloth.
