Felt donkey pull toy with boot button eyes, leather saddle, saddle pad, and leather girth. Donkey sits on metal axle attached to early metal wheels. 12”H x 16.5”L.

An early Steiff felt pull toy donkey with leather saddle and pull noise maker on a cast iron frame with spoke wheels. Ear tag and stamp on leather. 12 in tall x 15-1/2 in long x 7 in wide.

American. 1890s. Cast iron. Made by United States Hardware Company, New Haven, Connecticut (1896-1901). 6.5 x 2.5 x 6.5". Surface exhibits moderate paint loss.
