Fiery red winged Eyeball with guitar legend, the late John Cippolina (Quicksilver Messenger Service) set in clouds with lightning flash and flames in red and orange, against blue sky and thunder background.
Cippolina frequently guested the Grateful Dead shows as well as playing drummer Mickey Hart's Rolling Thunder album and tour.
The Winged / Flying Eyeball is one of Griffin's most famous motifs and this superb painting combines his unique draughtsmanship with his paint and airbrushing techniques. Painting on board. Gold wood frame and off white mount.

The late Rick Griffin was a unique talent, an outstanding draughtsman with an exceptional imagination. His fame and reputation is legendary. He is known by both artists and public alike for his individual style and ground breaking graphics.
