According to the Christie's sale catalogue, Jean Fabris has confirmed the authenticity of this painting.

This work is accompanied by a photo-certificate of authenticity from Gilbert Petrides, no. 18.542, dated February 1, 1986.

Glue lined; frame rubbing, resulting in a few paint flakes at bottom left edges; two small areas of light craquelure at lower center and lower right center; the painting could use a light cleaning; there is some scattered inpainting, including tiny spots in the upper left of the sky; there appears to be an area of roughly 2 x 3 inches in the lower right corner; several spots in the building at right and a couple of tiny spots at lower left corner area; no further apparent restoration.
