Description
[NASA]. Flag and Patch Presentation Frame from the Space Shuttle Discovery, First Satellite Recovery Mission, STS (51-A), November 8 – 16, 1984. The flag and patch were flown aboard the shuttle mission. Includes three photographs: a 12 ¼ x 9” photograph of the shuttle (largest), the satellite recovered, and crew. The crew consisted of Commander Frederick H. Hauck, Pilot David M. Walker and Mission Specialists Joseph P. Allen, Ann L. Fisher, Dale A. Gardner. This frame was presented to Senator Robert Beverly (CA) and signed by Anna Fisher. Photographs and printed text toned. Color saturation has softened. Upper right photos are lifting. Frame (glare free glass), 17 x 21 x 1 ¼”.
