The two items in the image are reproduction prints of famous 17th-century antique maps. Top Map - Jodocus Hondius (1606) Titled "America," it shows North and South America, featuring illustrations of ships and indigenous peoples. It was first published in his edition of the Mercator atlas. Bottom Map - Willem Blaeu (c. 1635 Titled "Nova Totius Terrarum Orbis Geographica ac Hydrographica Tabula," this world map is renowned for its elaborate ornamentation, including allegorical figures of the elements, the seasons, and city views along the borders. Our favorite! These were printed in the 1950s as advertising premiums by the Hoffmann La Roche drug company of Nutley, New Jersey. 17 x 13 each.
