CUSHING PETER: (1913-1994) English actor, famous for his roles in the Hammer Films, as well as for portraying Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes and Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars. An excellent signed 5 x 8 photograph of the actor in a head and shoulders pose in costume as the high-ranking officer Grand Moff Tarkin of the Galactic Empire from the epic space opera film Star Wars (1977). Signed by Cushing in bold blue fountain pen ink, with a sentiment (´May God´s blessing be with you always, In all sincerity´) to the lower half of the image and signature to the lower white border, also dated 1980 in his hand. The actor has further identified the title of the film in his hand (with a slight smudge to the first letter) to the verso. Scarce and desirable in this form. About EX
