A fine George Nakashima style mid-century modern coffee table or bench. Estimated to be made from 1965-1975, but designed in the 1950s. Live edge single slab construction with typical Nakashima style legs with through mortise & tenon construction and two butterflies. Finish is original but cleaned up, Shows Well. Provenance: From a local estate in Blue Bell, PA. Consignor stated her husband had multiple businesses at the home including furniture making, picture framing, and lamp base construction. Blue prints found at the home show the forms of lamps made. These were done in the Adrian Pearsall style. Along with the blue prints we also found a large selection of Pearsall style lamp bases, Amazing quality. Consignor stated that her husband worked for or with Nakashima during an earlier period of his life. A rare opportunity to own a conoid R style bench or table of this size and quality.
