Description

A Lladro gres porcelain figurine titled Circus Sam, model number 2128. The figure depicts a melancholy hobo-style circus clown in a standing pose, wearing a gray bowler hat, a long weathered green coat with a white pom-pom boutonniere, and oversized pink trousers. He holds a violin by the neck in his left hand. The sculpture is finished in characteristic gres porcelain with a matte, earthy texture and soft polychrome glazes. The underside features the standard blue stamped Lladro bell flower logo, Hand Made in Spain, and (c) DAISA 1987. The base includes incised marks for model number 2128, B-13 JU, and a diamond-shaped symbol. Height: 7.75 inches.
