This Lladro glazed porcelain figurine, titled Circus Days (model number 6916), depicts a whimsical clown in a classic performance pose. The figure features a standing clown with a melancholy expression, dressed in a long blue-and-white horizontally striped tunic over gray plaid trousers. He wears a large, oversized white necktie with pink polka dots and a tiny yellow boater hat perched on his head. A small, colorful drum sits behind his feet, and a delicate white bird is perched on the toe of his upturned right shoe. The piece is finished in the signature Lladro soft pastel palette with a high-gloss glaze. The underside bears the blue printed factory mark: LLADR" / HAND MADE IN SPAIN / (c) DAISA 2002. The model number 6916 is incised into the base. Approximately 9.25 inches in height.
