William Penhallow Henderson (1877-1943) was an American painter, muralist, architect, and designer associated with the Santa Fe and Taos art communities. Born in Massachusetts, he studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and later worked extensively in New Mexico. Henderson became known for his architectural paintings, murals, and designs inspired by the landscapes and adobe architecture of the American Southwest. His works are held in major collections including the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the New Mexico Museum of Art.
