Greg Murr, an American contemporary painter exploring perception and materiality, is in the collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York among other established museums. Murr went on to live and teach art in Venice, Italy, and later, he relocated to Berlin, Germany, where he works today. "Material Study 24e," an acrylic on canvas piece, measures 19.25 x 20.5 inches. This unframed, unique 2022 work investigates texture and subtle tonal shifts. The composition feels meditative and minimal.
