(American/Massachusetts, 1848-1921). Fairhaven artist. Oil on artist's board. Depicts two figures on the Fairhaven shore, probably Fort Phoenix. They are looking out at Palmer Island Lighthouse and the city of New Bedford. Signed and dated 1878 lower left. Sight size: 11" high x 17 1/2" wide. In a modern high quality gilded frame measuring: 17" high x 23" wide.
