In a rare and very graphic red/white/black custom pattern, this 11 1/4" bobber is in exceptional condition with only light age discoloration. Dating from the 1950's, this important piece from the Ideal Fishing Float Company of Richmond, Virginia, was originally purchased from a long time employee of the company. The gentleman was employed for decades as a float painter, over the years occasionally painting examples for himself, using stock and custom colors, and producing floats in non-catalog patterns and sizes, such as this example. The original bobbers made by this individual are some of rarest known and certainly the most coveted by serious collectors.
