Crude guard with a clamshell languette on one side and a open heart shaped counterguard. Plain wod grip and partially flattened ovoid pommel. With an interesting two piece wooden scabbard wrapped in black leather and banded at throat and drag with iron bands, throat with frog. CONDITION: Blade and guard with evidence of compositing, cleaning, and heavy corrosion throughout. Wood grip en suite. Evidence of compositing done long ago, perhaps period.
