Pair Mettlach Pokals

Description

2 Villeroy and Bach Mettlach No. 168 Pokals dated to 1894. Pokals were used primarily for formal toasts where the goblet held much more than an individual serving and was passed from guest to guest. These do not have lids. One has cracks and a repair to the base with a few other cracks to the 'goblet'. The other is in better condition with a hairline crack at the top, no chips and some fine, minimal cracks on exterior of goblet. Condition is consistent with age and use - please see photos to judge condition and view makers marks. Both measure 15.75"T
