This vintage Sansui 2000X is a solid-state AM/FM stereo tuner amplifier manufactured by Sansui Electric Co., Ltd. in Tokyo, Japan. The unit is housed in a rectangular wooden case featuring a walnut-colored veneer finish. The front panel consists of a brushed aluminum lower section with matching control knobs and toggle switches, topped by a black glass tuning dial window. The analog linear tuning dial features dual scales for FM (88 to 108 MHz) and AM (535 to 1605 kHz), accompanied by an illuminated signal strength meter. Front-facing controls include a power button, headphone jack, speaker selector for systems A, B, and A+B, low and high filters, bass, treble, volume, balance, loudness, reverse, mono, tape monitor, and a multi-position selector switch for Phono 1, Phono 2, AM, FM Mono, FM Auto, and Aux. A large weighted tuning knob is positioned on the right side.
