Description
This wall-mounted electric lamp is attributed to The Angle Lamp Company, styled after the firm's late 19th-century patented kerosene lighting designs. The fixture is constructed with a cylindrical brass-finished metal font or reservoir body that mounts to a rectangular wall plate. Extending at a downward angle from the body is the burner assembly, characteristic of the maker's namesake design. This assembly houses an internal light source positioned behind a brass baffle with a horizontal slot. The lighting is shielded by a two-part glass shade system consisting of a lower bulbous globe with a frosted finish and an upper fluted milk glass chimney-style shade featuring a ruffled rim. The lamp has been electrified and is fitted with a white external power cord.
