Description
FREED - 1977 VINTAGE ED DONOHUE RARE SKULL AND ROSES - VARIANT - MEDIUM SIZE - FRUIT OF THE LOOM T-SHIRT. Ed Donahue was the first real bootleg T-shirt artist in the parking lot of Grateful Dead shows. By 1980, you saw everyone wearing his shirts. They were the coolest Dead shirts without saying Grateful Dead. He is an important part of GD history, and sadly been gone for many years now. THIS SHIRT IS TITLED: FREED. If there's a hypothetical $1000 Ed Donohue shirt than this would be it. The shirt was purchased directly from Ed circa 1977-79 at New York area shows by an original East Coast Dead Head who saw his first show at the Fillmore East and hooked from thereon… he even followed them to the Great Pyramid shows so there's amazing authenticity unlike any other shirts you may have seen.
