Description
This Jun ware bowl from the Song Dynasty has a simple and dignified shape, with a slightly narrowed rim, a deep abdominal arc, and a stable ring foot. The body of the vessel is coated with azure opalescent glaze, the glaze layer is rich and translucent, and the glaze surface is covered with fine open textures, showing a subtle and restrained jade texture. The rim of the mouth is thinned due to the flow of glaze, and the fragrant gray color of the carcass is faintly exposed, forming the famous "purple mouth" feature, which echoes the "iron feet" on the exposed feet, fully demonstrating the aesthetic interest of Guan ware wares in the Song Dynasty in pursuit of "natural de-carving".The entire body of the vessel has no complicated patterns and is distinguished by pure color and texture. The glaze color changes with the light, showing a subtle transition between sky blue and moon white, just like the sky blue after rain, giving people a sense of tranquility and far-reaching. The center of the bottom of the bowl is glazed, and the base of the circle is exposed. The texture is firm and delicate, which shows that Jun Ware in the Song Dynasty accurately controlled the mud brush washer and firing temperature.
