Description
This Jun ware flowerpot from the Jin Dynasty has a board edge, a straight belly, a flat bottom, and three Ruyi feet at the bottom. The overall lines are regular, steady, and dignified. It is a classic shape specially designed for desk display in the study or for planting calamus, orchid and other elegant plants. The whole body is covered with rose purple glaze, the glaze is rich and shiny, the color is deep and gorgeous, just like a mature rose, showing a noble and elegant violet tone. The glaze is densely covered with intertwined slices, criss-crossing like a silk mesh, adding a rich sense of layering and the vicissitudes of time to the deep glaze color. The glaze at the edge of the mouth is thin, and the white fetal bones are vaguely exposed, forming a "purple mouth"; the soles and three legs of the feet are exposed, and the texture of the feet is solid and gray-white, with light brown spots visible in some parts, showing the characteristics of "iron feet".The fetus is made of gray-white wares clay, which is solid and delicate. The bottom is flat and slightly concave, with traces of turning visible on the exposed tire. The connection between the three legs and the body is rounded, which reflects the maturity of Junware wares making technology in the Jin Dynasty.
