Description
This 16-piece assemblage features a diverse array of prehistoric-style tools and ritual items, likely of North American indigenous origin, showcasing early lithic and bone technology. The collection highlights several well-preserved bone awls and needles, a perforated bone tool, and various "fleshing" tools crafted from animal rib and long bones. Most notably, the group includes two conical stone objects—likely pipes or "cloud blowers"—and a distinct stone pipe fragment. These items are composed of mineralized animal bone and carved sedimentary stone or pipestone. The artifacts show characteristic signs of age, including surface mineralization, use-wear smoothing, and historical pitting, with expected minor chips and wear to the fragile bone edges. Case dimensions H 8", W 12.5", D 1". Please see photos.
