Description
These two framed collections represent a broad cross-section of North American lithic technology, primarily from the Archaic to Woodland periods. The vertical rustic wood frame holds 30 "Side Notched" projectile points, while the horizontal grey-wash shadowbox features 24 points in a radial arrangement. The collection includes various chert, flint, and quartzite specimens in earthen tones of cream, charcoal, and tan. These points exhibit classic pressure-flaking and percussion techniques characteristic of indigenous stone tool craftsmanship. Both displays are in good overall condition with artifacts appearing securely mounted; frames show minor shelf wear and light dust to the glazing. Large: H 12", W 9", D 1.5". Small: H 8", W 10", D 1.5". Please see photos for condition.
