Super Rare WWII German Luftwaffe Standardte banner. These are German Luftwaffe Regimental banners used for parades or presentations. Originated in 1934 era. Based on color this would be Communication or Flaken Kommend. Heavy bullion embroidery. This flag has the poll side pocket of the banner where the long pole would go through cut to remove the long heavy pole. Our speculation is so the GI might fit it in his duffel bag. We see this with many bring backs called "duffel cuts" where items were shortened to fit in a bring back G.I duffel bag.
