Antique Persian Sultanabad Rug, Large size, circa 1910A one-of-a-kind antique Persian Sultanabad oriental carpet with soft wool pile, knotted by hand, with soft touch and an appealing finish. This carpet features a Herati design repeating throughout the light blue primary field, with a soft red outer border. In large size, size 16'9" x 10'6". The rug is composed of wool pile on a cotton foundation, and is in very good condition for its age, weaving style, and composition, with minor wear and fading. The colors of the primary field have been softened to become more settled and subdued.
