Description
PATTERN-MOLDED DIAMOND-QUILT POCKET BOTTLE / FLASK, shaded medium amethyst, flattened ovoid form with slightly flared plain mouth, lightly molded with rows of 24 diamonds and faint ribs, kick-up base with rough pontil mark. Attributed to the Glassworks of Henry William Stiegel, Manheim, PA, and others. Second half 18th century. 5 1/2" H, 3 3/4" W.

Provenance:
Recently discovered in a Virginia estate.
Condition
Undamaged with some very minor interior dirt/residue. Spall off the pontil, as made.
